Reflections
Experience
Throughout this module, I have gained valuable knowledge and experience in advanced typography, it is similar to typography which I've taken back in previous semester but this is way more advanced in its study and higher level compared to the previous module. From studying typographic system to creating my own font, it made me realized that there are so much more about things for me to learn about. Although the journey of learning advanced typography was challenging, it proved to be an interesting and enlightening experience.
Observations
By taking this module, it allowed me to observe how subtle adjustments in design can make a different impact in legibility and visual appeal of the font. The process has showed me the important of typography in achieving effective communication, as well as its ability to involve emotions and convey meaning. Through studying typography, I have come to appreciate the artistry and craftsmanship involved in creating typefaces
Findings
I discovered that studying typography plays an important role in shaping effective communication and establishing the tone and mood of a design. When I was making my own font, I had to put in a lot of thoughts to show my intention and context behind each design. It made me noticed that any details need to be carefully consider so that the intended context can be delivered to make people understand it easily.
