Task 1

Fig 1.0 Ideation

During class, we were asked to come up with ideas on what app we would like to create. Initially, we had an idea of an app to remind patients with Alzheimer's to take medicine or meals. But the lecturer gave us an advice that it will only attract a small amount of audience, also another group is doing something similar, so we changed the idea to a pet care app.

Task 2

After solidifying on the idea, we began with persona research, aiming to identify the needs, behaviors, and pain points of our target audience. This process was informed by data collected through a Google Form survey we created, the questions can be seen here. The survey was crafted to gather both qualitative and quantitative insights. Key sections included:
  • Demographics: Age, occupation, and lifestyle details.
  • Behavioral Patterns: Frequency of app usage, preferred features, and habits related to the app’s domain.
  • Pain Points: Current challenges users face and features they wish existed.
These are the responses we gotten back.

With the personas in hand, the next step was to translate their needs and preferences into actionable UX requirements. This phase involved identifying key functionalities and design considerations that would address user pain points and enhance their overall experience.

To visualize how users would interact with the app, we created a UX user journey map. This tool helped us understand the step-by-step experience from the user’s perspective, highlighting opportunities for improvement.
