Task 3: Testing & Refinement
After the presentation on task 2, we proceed with the next process.
Brand Identity and Packaging
The graphics team narrowed down the style to focus on Scandinavian patterns with fewer details. They also explored different design approaches for each scent, that will be seen below in Figures 1.0 to 1.2.

Interior
For the interior design, we opted for a cleaner, more minimalist approach compared to the exterior. The design emphasizes the product's scent and key information, ensuring a straightforward and impactful layout.

Social Media Content Planning and Animations
After that, we also focused on social media scheduling and content planning, incorporating a variety of formats such as static posts, educational content, product mockups, animations, and 3D animations.
Wireframe and Prototype
Based on client feedback, Vincent, the lead designer for the website, conducted additional visual research to explore key elements from various website styles. The objective was to resolve existing issues and enhance the overall layout and color distribution.

Week 6
Mascot Digitization
While digitizing the mascot, one key area of focus was typography. After assessing the current font choices, we realized they did not complement the mascot's design effectively. To address this, we explored a variety of alternative fonts, aiming to find one that aligned better with the mascot's character and overall brand identity.

In refining the mascot's silhouette, we prioritized achieving a balanced interplay between positive and negative space. This process ensured that the design was visually harmonious and adaptable to different contexts. Additionally, we experimented with color applications for the mascot, carefully testing various palettes to maintain consistency and cohesion across all branding materials. This exploration ensured that the mascot would remain visually impactful in both monochrome and colored formats.
Packaging Digitization

While the packaging design was still in development, I began creating a 3D model of the packet, as finding an existing 3D model suitable for mockup images proved challenging. Having a custom 3D model is essential for producing an animation or reel to effectively demonstrate how the packet functions. This includes showcasing its unique feature of opening like a wallet, which houses both the wet and dry tissues.

Meanwhile, for the website is in also in progress of finding images that would align with the website's aesthetic, aiming to balance a Scandinavian style with an article-inspired layout.

Week 7
With the submission deadline only a week away, we faced ongoing challenges due to inconsistencies in the designs across divisions, which were still in an exploration phase. This lack of cohesion created obstacles for other team members, delaying their progress. To resolve this, we were advised to create comprehensive brand guidelines as part of the Task 3 submission. Below is an overview of our progress, outlining key stages to provide a clearer understanding of the process and the iterations involved.
But after some discussion and adjustment, we finally came out with the final design while maintaining consistency of the different scents and strengthens the brand identity which makes it easily recognizable to the target audience and potential users as well as digitizing it.

3D Mascot and Packaging model
As proposed from the initial stage, the mascot design has now been confirmed. We have brought it into Blender for 3D rendering, which will then be used for animations as well as for content on social media and the website splash screen.

We also developed a storyboard for the animation featuring the mascot, drawing inspiration from the references provided by the client. These references emphasized vibrant, colorful settings and natural backdrops. The storyboard showcases our mascot interacting with the tissue, bringing the product's features to life in an engaging and visually appealing way.

Another visual references can be seen here.
I successfully completed the 3D model of the tissue packet and proceeded to UV editing, where I prepared the model's surface to apply the finalized packet design seamlessly. This step ensures that the design aligns accurately with the 3D structure, enhancing its realism and visual appeal. Following this, I began the rigging process, setting up the model with the necessary controls to enable movement and animation. This rigging will allow me to create dynamic animations that showcase both the interior and exterior of the tissue packet, highlighting its functionality and unique features, such as the wallet-style opening.

Week 8
With most of the work nearing completion, we shifted our focus to compiling the presentation slides to showcase the brand guidelines and deliverables. This involved carefully organizing the content to present a cohesive narrative, highlighting the design process, key decisions, and outcomes. We ensured that the slides effectively communicated the brand’s vision, including elements like typography, color schemes, logo applications, and packaging design. Additionally, we included visual mockups and any completed animations to demonstrate how the brand and its products would be perceived in real-world applications. This comprehensive presentation was crafted to provide a clear and professional overview of our work, ready for submission and feedback.
