Task 2: Brainstorming to Ideate

Week 5: Research

We began our brainstorming session with a goal to establish a unified art direction that would guide the entire design process. The team members shared a variety of visual references and design ideas, which included images, color schemes, and stylistic elements. This open discussion allowed us to explore different perspectives and understand what each of us envisioned for the brand's look and feel.

After reviewing the shared references, we selected some images that resonated most with our vision, to create a foundation for our art direction. These images help captured the essence we wanted for FOLD's branding—approachable, gentle, and cohesive. Our chosen art style is graphic and minimalistic, emphasizing clean lines and simple shapes for both the packaging and the mascot, which would add a friendly and relatable touch to the brand.

For the color palette, we decided on pastel and soft hues, as they evoke the "softness" and gentle feel associated with tissue products. This palette not only aligns with the product's purpose but also creates a soothing, visually appealing design that we believe will resonate well with our target audience. Together, these elements form a cohesive art direction, ensuring that each design decision moving forward will contribute to a consistent and recognizable brand image for FOLD.

We also created the mascot for our brand that can help to promote the brand. Before creating a mascot, we thought of some prompts to create the mascot as it gives me a vision of what kind of mascot it would be like.
