Task 1: EMPATHY MAP & PROBLEM STATEMENT
Week 1 Project Briefing
In the first week of class, Ms. Li Lian introduced the module and gave us a briefing on what we needed to do for the first task. It’s a group project, and I teamed up with Rachel, Jian Xiong, Agnes, Vincent, and Benjamin. I was chosen as the group leader since I’d worked with some of them before, and they trusted my leadership. Soon after, we got assigned to collaborate with Taylor’s Business School on three different brands. Our group was given a product called FOLD, a 2-in-1 pocket tissue.
We didn’t waste any time and quickly set up a meeting with our clients. Before that, I did some research on the product and the materials used in making tissue. I also prepared a list of questions for the clients to clear up the confusion we had from the project brief and to get a better idea of what they expected from us.
The meeting was casual and productive, although we hit a few bumps along the way, from the clients' lacked of clear brand story, objectives, target market, and purpose for our project. Fortunately, they provided this information later that night so everything worked out well.

Week 2 Online Survey
After our meeting with the business students, we started brainstorming for questions for an online survey. This survey will be helping us to get the insight we need to proceed with our empathy map and problem statement. We went over questions regarding demographic, packaging design and etc. After making the necessary changes, we proceeded to sent the survey out.
The questions can be seen here.
