PROJECT 2 : Auditory Storytelling

For this project, we need to pick one story of our choice and create an audiobook. The task is a step up from auditory imaging whereas the students not only need to think about suitable soundscape, but they need to record the voice with the suitable voice acting and bring it all together with sound effects to highlight and enhance the storytelling experience. Imagine that this is a show for radio. 

Storyline

I decided to use Undertale as my story and this is the storyline I came out with along with some visuals to use.

Process

Undertale combines elements of nostalgia and humor, I asked my guy friend to narrate an Undertale story because he have a deep voice at the same time it has a great, playful vibe which balance out both of the diverse moods. 

After I got the voice recordings, I put it into premier pro to start editing the voice lines by using effects such as dynamics and parametric equalizer which can help enhance the voice.

I also used noise reduction to get rid of the background noises.

Composing of the video

I first put all the visual images I have for the story into after effects to connect them together into a video with the effects I needed. After I'm done, I put the video, voice over and sound effects that I've finished editing all in Premiere Pro to put them all together while timing the audio and video correctly with one another.
