Project 2: Cartoon Jump Animation
For this project, we need to animate a cartoon jump animation in Blender by key framing the required extreme poses from our study. Exaggerate the poses more by pushing the line of action with clarity of silhouette in mind to make it look cartoony. Apply the understanding of variation of timing (3 speeds) to create interesting timing and also moving hold to add clarity to the action. The animation should demonstrate the quality of appeal, clarity, fluidity and flexibility and emphasis on getting the cartoony looks.
I first started out by following a jump reference video that I found on YouTube to get a better idea of the timing and posture. Before the jump, I show the character preparing for the jump by bending his knees and lowering his body. This creates anticipation and prepares for the motion.

From there, I added in some other pose to exaggerate the jump to look more cartoony without making it look too off such as when the character jump, the body should extend upwards with legs fully stretched and arms either reaching up or slightly forward.

By paying attention to those elements, I finished my jump and hopefully created a convincing and jump animation that effectively conveys the character's motion and emotions. After that, I stage the background by making an infinite wall and render out the images.
