Lecture

Week 1 :
Mr. Razif introduced us this module, Sonic Design, that aims to introduce students to the audio environment. We are going to learn to use professional sound equipment provided in the recording studio.

In the lecture video, we learn about the nature of sound. We get to know how sound can be captured and processed, analyze and use it, how to convert to digital world and pro tools.

Exercise: Audio Fundamentals

Exercise 1
In this exercise, an original soundtrack and the other four edited tracks are given. We need to identify which part of the soundtrack doesn't match the original, through bass or treble and also to use Parameter Equalizer to adjust the frequency of the sound.

Exercise 3

On this week's exercise, we were taught to play around with the track automations to alter the speed and the volume of the audio.

After that, we were told to make an environmental audio based on the picture below.

Figure 3.2 First environment photo

I started looking for free audios online that can fit the theme and vibe of the environment in the photo provided. With the suitable audios gathered, I started putting them together.

With that done, I moved on to the next photo.
