Project 2A Production Shoot
At the start of the project, we are divided into groups by the lecturer.
Most of us had already know one another so it was quick for us to get along.
We read through the roles needed for the production shoots and everyone was
given a role. This is the roles everyone have.
Producer - Koh Sin Yi (Gina)
Director - Rachel Madeline
Assistant Director 1 - Sheryl Anusree
Assistant Director 2 - Tee Jia Ern
Art Directior - Sheryl Anusree
D.O.P - Joan Chiam
Camera Assistant 1 - Tee Jia
Ern
Camera Assistant 2 - Benjamin
Ng
Location Sound - Yap Wai Kei
Boom Operator - Benjamin Ng
Actor 1 - Lim Xinyi
Actor 2 - Emran Tarek Sayed
With that done, we started to prepare the costumes and plan out the scene
locations, time and etc.

The producer, Sin Yi made a google drive file so that everyone can put in the materials needed for the production shoot. We started off by analyzing the scenes in the video that we were assigned to recreate. The scenes that we needed to recreate is from a Japanese film. After analyzing what is needed, we started looking for the costumes for the actors then scope out the locations needed for the shoot.
On the day of the shoot, we all go into positions and started the shooting.

We weren't familiar with the equipment at first so it took several tries before we proceed with proper shooting, we struggled a bit for the first scene but we slowly got used to it. Other than the first scenes that took a while to perfect, we were able to finish the rest smoothly and within the timeframe set as there are still other groups waiting for their turn to use the equipment.
After shooting, I sorted out the
video footages
and
audios into google drive files so that everyone in the team can use it to do
their edits.
Video Editing
Before I start the editing, I look through all the footages and chose the
ones that I feel like fit the most along with the audios. Then, I imported
everything into Premiere Pro.

I started with arranging all the footages in appropriate order and started
working on adjusting the audio since most of them have loud background
noises so I had to try and lower it down and make sure all the background
audio sound consistent. After that, I also did a bit of colour grading just
to make it look nicer. I also added in background music as the original
video also have a background music playing.
After all that are done, I exported the video and this is the result.

Project 2B Tiktok
Our next task is to create a Tiktok video with Campus Life as the topic. I
started by thinking of ideas that I would want for my video and what to
include in my video.
Fig 2.1 Compilation of my ideation for the TikTok video
Since I already had an idea on what I wanted for my video, I started to record
pieces of footages that I would need/want to include in my video. Since my
video is not story based and I wanted to include actual footages of my friends
and I having fun so the time and locations are random.
After recording quite a number of footages, I decided to compile it and pick
the ones I want the most to use for my final video.
With all the footages I've picked, I imported them into Premiere Pro.

I connected all my videos and added background music along with suitable
transitions. Finally, with all that done my video is finally finished.

Reflection
Throughout the module, this task has been one of the most fun and interesting one. I have gained a comprehensive understanding of various editing techniques, software tools, and the overall editing process. Overall, I am excited to apply the skills and knowledge gained from this class to future projects
