Process

For project 1, we needed think of  a topic area for research and create a research proposal. The chosen research area should be relevant to the specialization we have chosen for our upcoming semester.

The specialization that I've chosen was Digital Animation so I wanted to come out with something that had relation and should be given more attention to for my topic. So I came out with special effects as my main focus. After that I thought of the topic which is understanding the concept of using digital animation with the special effects for fantasy films. Since I had my topic, I started working on my rationale, problem statement and etc.

Upon receiving my feedback the changes I needed was to come out with a title and write a more solid problem statement by showing evidence of my research.

After receiving my feedbacks, I was told to fix my citation by changing them into APA then was suggested change some of my references to articles instead of websites. Other than that, my research questions needed to be more straightforward. With all that comments, I begin to update my proposal by making the necessary changes.

Finally, with all that done, I moved all of my work into PowerPoint slides for submission.

Reflection

When writing the proposal, I was initially confused as I was not familiar with this type of research. It took some time to ask around and listen to others in order to grasp what I was supposed to do. Throughout the process, I could see my growth in getting familiarized with this module. It required me to deeply analyze and articulate my research ideas and objectives. This experience provided me with valuable insights and important lessons.

Furthermore, I realized the importance of conducting extensive research and literature review. Reading through existing articles and scholarly works not only provided a foundation for my own research but also helped me identify the relevance of different research articles towards my study. It was a valuable exercise for me to understand the existing discourse and contribute to it with another perspective.
