Process
Exercise 1: Sound Dubbing
We were given a muted clip from the movie Munich (2005). We needed to add
in all of the sound effects and voice-over such as background ambience,
the dialogue, and the sound effects.
Fig. 1 Muted Clip Given
After watching the scenes in the movie, I listed out all the audio that I
will be needing then uses Pixabay and Zapsplat to look for the sound effects
that would fit in the movie scenes. I started downloading different audio as
I went along editing the clip in Adobe Premiere Pro and Adobe Audition. I
started by placing the ambient noise first. I uses 3 ambience sound effects
in total which are for the outdoor and indoor. I uses 2 ambience sound and
mix together for the outdoor scenes so that it would not sound too bland and
repetitive.
Other than that, I also recorded the dialogue using my phone. I asked my
friend Ben to help me with the male voices as my voice is too high pitched
to be fit for male characters. There is one scene where the girl's voice
goes through from the payphone so I tried to use Adobe Audition to make my
voice sound like it's coming from the phone by using the parametric
equaliser effect.

I tried to align all of the sound effects to the correct timing based on the
scenes while also making it smooth.

Exercise 2: Audio Shaping
On this exercise, we were tasked to sound shape the audio given to make it sound like it's coming from different places such as:
- Voice of phone call.
- Voice coming from inside of closet.
- Voice of toilet/bathroom.
- Underground cave.
Process
I started with watching the recorded video provided to have a better understanding at using Adobe Audition and how the effects works.
After downloading the audio provided in google drive, I import it into Au. I wanted to start editing the voice and make it sound like its from the phone so I used parametric equaliser effect.

I also used reverb to create echo sound and ambience. By using this effect and tweaking around with the settings to make it sound like its from a bathroom and cave.

After exploring and trying out different settings, I managed to make the voice sound different and matches the places I was tasked to do. The final results can be view through clicking here.
