Project 1: Instructable Poster
For this project, we needed to create an instructable poster and an animated infographic explaining how to cook the dish we choose from Pasta Grannies. After going through the youtube channel, I decided to work on " Tacconi Pasta" made by a 90 years old Granny.

While I was watching the video, I note down the important instructions for the recipe into my notepad. I tried to simplify the recipe so that it will be more easy to understandable and more efficient to learn while not missing out any of the important parts.
I noted down the ingredients
To make the noodle:
- 400g total of bean flour and plain flour
- 150g fave flour
- 250g 0 or plain flour
- 4 eggs

- 2 tablespoons flour
For the tomato sauce:
- 1 onion
- 1 garlic clove
- 1 celery stick
- 1 carrot
- 1 chilli (to enhance taste)
- Basil
- 6 tomatoes
- Salt
I also noted down the instructions:
To make the noodle
- Mix 30% of bean flour and 50% wheat flour which is 150g and 250g makes 400g in total
- Form a hole in the middle of the flour and add in 4 eggs
- Mix it all together and form a dough
- Cover it and leave it to rest for 10mins
- Roll out flour and put on the dough
- Roll the dough make it thin
- Fold the flatten dough 3 times and cut
- Cook
To make the dressing
- Prepare guanciale
- Cut into small pieces and put it into pan to cook
- Add in small amount of olive oil to heat
- Add two spoons of flour
To make the sauce
- Prepare 6 tomatoes, celery, carrot, onion, garlic, parsley, chilli pepper and basil
- Blend everything together
- Add it into pan with the dressing
After finishing up with the recipe I started with the poster. I wanted the poster to have clear instructions while not looking too boring so I tried to use vibrant colour and hands to show visuals of the making of the pasta.

Once it was finalised, I started working on the motion graphic. I same the ingredients and assets that I need by vectorizing everything in Adobe Illustrator.

After I'm done with the assets, I started working on the motion graphic in After Effects. As for the background music, I wanted to choose some none copyrighted song that would also fit my video so I chose teapot by lukrembo.

Reflections
I had fun during the process of this project because I get to learn some new ways skills in editing. I learnt a lot about designing in terms of catching the attention of the viewer while making sure they can understand the information that I wanted to deliver. Overall, I am satisfied with my final outcome. Unfortunately due to my mistake, I mistakenly thought that the poster have lesser mark therefore I did not fully polish my poster.
