Reflection

Experience 

Throughout the semester learning typography, I've learnt a lot from type expressions to designing our very own font. It was not an easy task while going through the journey of typography. There were a lot of ups and downs during the process and I have to admit that I struggled since typography is something I've never really learn much about and it was a very interesting experience learning it. It is also different from all the other design modules as type is at the core of all design, and in this module I learnt to break down those core principles to analyze them and learn from them. Atlas I get to understand more about typography and get the gist of designing fonts and formatting layouts using various programs such as Illustrator and Indesign. 

Observation 

I observed the great details that go into typography, like how how each letter has its own anatomy and how each typeface consist of different mood and application. Typography requires delicacy and an eye for intricate details of the letters. Even the small variations of the details in the characteristics of the letters matter. 

Findings 

I found out that Typography can be found everywhere around us. No matter where we go, we are surrounded by different fonts and layouts. It actually subconsciously influences us and how they view a certain product, it attract our attention without us realizing. After learning this module, I could actually recognizes and differentiate the names and type of fonts that I see which is amazing.
